After 4 years and countless questions about when we were going to update our website, we are one step closer. But only sort of. About Us
PlainJoe Studios originated in October of 2001 with a creative impulse, a simple vision, and a desire to connect with clients on a deeper level. We are guided by a passionate pursuit for quality design and practical solutions for our clients.

Led by creative principals, Peter McGowan and Mike Foster, we utilize our award winning team's vast array of skills and multi-disciplines to serve our clients in the areas of strategic ideation, interactive media, and environmental design.

Our diverse team of over twenty employees includes designers, art directors, project managers, web developers, and programmers who routinely create world-class projects.

Some of the largest and most respected global brands (Nissan Automotive, Infiniti Global, and Newport Corporation) as well as non-profit organizations (Compassion International and Flannel) in operation today have turned to PlainJoe Studios time after time to put feet to their dreams and a personality to their brands.

PlainJoe Studios is anything but plain, however, we intentionally selected the name as a way to show that the focus is not on the studio itself but rather it's about intentionally existing to help organizations of every size reach their target - the everyday "Plain Jane" or "Average Joe." We are dedicated to causes and projects that have a socially positive impact.

Environmental Design
This team specializes in way-finding: helping clients find a way to communicate their brands in brick and mortar, and helping their customers find coffee and classrooms.

Our environmental team works with churches and budgets of all sizes to establish a design theme for the interior of a building and bring it to life with entry and identity features, directional systems, and inexpensive yet creative flourishes that truly develop a sense of place.
